Trace ID Flag

The optional -tid or equivalent long form version: --trace-id exists to provide a way to correlate this log line with an OpenTelemetry trace ID.

Valid OTEL Trace ID Length

A valid OpenTelemetry Trace ID is 32 hexidecimal characters long.
